I'll admit, sometimes I don't want to write this,
It's not a crisis, but sometimes I might hiss
just a little like our cat Sadie
At the fact that I have to write something daily.
There's nowhere to hide, each day I'm exposed
Accountable to post just like I'm supposed
A hundred seventy-two days, not even close
to the finish line, tonight the fatigue shows.
But hey, in that case, why not try something new?
Share a little verse, a new point of view?
In all that I do, I try to speak true
But when I rhyme I try to make it fun for you, too!
They say it's a marathon, not a sprint,
But sometimes you wonder where the fun went,
When the marathon is not very fun
you're very done, but you've barely begun
And there's very far up the hill still to climb
You picture reaching the top, you will in time!
And this reminds you that all things don't last
If you're pissed having to post it will soon be in the past.
Your three hundred and sixty five days of blogging
will go by like the wind when you're jogging
This project will be a brief flicker in life's candle
Suddenly it doesn't seem like too much to handle
Because it's all about that perspective
This is something that you selected
You are creating this, you have chosen it,
A chapter in life's book, soon you'll be closing it
And moving onto the next incredible tale,
They'll more amazing experiences, without fail!
So don't ever worry, whether it's gore, boredom or glory,
Enjoy this moment in life's unfolding story!
