Populate Your World with What You Want

Posted on December 6, 2020

Reading excerpt for tonight:

Why does Saying No to It Mean Saying Yes To It?

Your vibrational Universe has the Law of Attraction as its basis. That means that your Universe is about inclusion. When you give your attention to something that you desire and you say yes to it, you are including it in your vibration. But when you look at something you do not want and you say no to it, you are including it in your vibration. When you give no attention to it, you do not include it, but you cannot exclude anything that you are giving your attention to, because your attention to it inlaces it in your vibration, every time, without exception.

Ask and It Is Given, by Jerry and Esther Hicks, p90

I love this quote. I have heard it or something like it from Abraham many, many times. I did not always understand it. I think I understand it better these days.

Basically, there’s no such thing as saying “no.” What I mean is, if you pick a subject and you say “No, I don’t want this thing!” you are nonetheless putting your attention on the thing. Am I right? I mean, if someone at a dinner party says, “I hate red cars!” then what are you thinking about and talking about? Red cars! If someone says, “I don’t have a red car, I’ll never have a red car, I’ll never look add them,” again, your still thinking about red cars!

The idea that there is no exclusion in the Universe means that you can’t think about something without thinking about it. Even if you think of the absence of that something, you’re still thinking about it. Sounds pretty simple, right?

Yet how often we get mixed up on this. People fight things they don’t want, decry the people they don’t like, talk about how much they don’t like someone. Taking this idea and applying to them, they are really drawing that topic or person or situation towards them, and since it’s what they don’t want, they are attracting what they don’t want!

So if there is something or someone you don’t like or don’t want in your life, don’t think about them. Ignore them. Think about what you do want. If that person, for instance, has been such a point of pain or sorrow in your life, use that experience to pivot and focus instead on what you have learned, what you now know, what you want instead.

The surest way to Love is not to fight hate. It’s to focus on Love! Being loving, allowing love, appreciating love

The surest way to Wealth is not to focus on ending poverty. It’s to focus on Wealth! It’s to appreciate abundance, and abundant people, and riches in all its forms, including but not limited to financial riches.

The surest way to Health is not to fight disease. It’s to focus on appreciating Physical well-being, appreciating health, feeling good, doing things that feel good, and having a mindset conducive to feeling good.

In other words, populate your world, your mindset, your day, your thoughts, your words with what you want. Not that which you don’t want.
