Five years ago I blogged about a game I play on my phone called “Toy Blast.” I wrote about why I liked it, and drew a connection with my attitude about it and having an abundance mindset:
Abundance and success is a positive-feedback loop that tends to add to itself and repeat continually. The more you have, the more you will be given, to re-phrase the Bible.* I love experiencing this in my own life, especially in fun and innocuous ways.
Day 351: Abundance and Winning at Toy Blast, July 20, 2019
Fast forward five years.
I’m still playing Toy Blast!
Why, you ask?
Here’s why I still play it:
- it hasn’t gotten boring.
- and yet it is familiar and predictable, making it a good “mindless” activity to relax to.
- especially as a distraction from “important” (aka “stressful”) life things.
- and I generally get satisfaction from feeling like I’m good at it.
- it answers the question, “what game do I play on my phone?” I don’t have to fuss with making new choices.**
- they just keep making new levels (at least so far), so there’s always more to play!
Like a lot of things I do in life, when I find a good routine I generally keep doing it. Also, I do think there are success principles at work in my Toy Blast journey, namely:
- It helps to be light-hearted about a goal( such as reaching 10k gold coins in Toy Blast) while being committed to achieve it.
- If you want to “win big” at something (such as those gold coins), you probably need to keep going towards the goal. You don’t want to quit or start something else.
I often play Toy Blast while listening to Abraham-Hicks recordings. To me that is a double whammy of goodness: relaxing game, and hearing helpful “game” about the Law of Attraction!
As I also wrote five years ago:
The Law of Attraction, after all, responds mostly to what you really believe. If you believe something is easy, if you are light-hearted, flexible and open about it, and confident you can achieve what you want in that area, it stands to reason that things are likely to work out well for you.

Whether be it Toy Blast or something else.
Couldn’t have said it better… even five years later.
*I’m not trying to be religious here. But I do like that quote, and it seems to pan out in real life. As in, when people already expect to get something, they tend to get more and more of it.
**To be fair, I’m not opposed to playing something else on my phone. In the past have played Word Mole, Monopoly, and a baseball game. Yet mostly I’ve played Toy Blast.
