Day 305: Stop Monkey-ing It Up!

Posted on June 4, 2019

Alrighty, so here we are. Day 305.

So I have a question. Why is it sometimes I have so much fun blissing out at the cafe, getting insight and stuff, and then sometimes, like happened recently, I was just sort of distracted or not as open? What was that about?

Chris, it is so simple! When you are relaxed, when you know that everything is alright, when you are not distracted by “survival”-based worries, you are calm and open. You weren’t as open this weekend when you went to the cafe.

Why not? I mean, what was different? Was it the weather?

Yes. It was that, and also you were distracted by other things. Your mind just wasn’t as relaxed or as easy-going as it could be.

Hmm, okay I believe that. But why? I mean, I want to be relaxed and stuff. But I guess I just wasn’t relaxed. Why?

Why do you think? Look at your life. How do you feel about it right now?

Well, um, okay, yeah, there have been a few things that have been bugging me a bit, this seems to be a big time of change, and so I am probably dealing with some discomfort over the uncertainty.

That, and the weather I have been experiencing has been a bit extreme. Last week we were in the snow in Lake Tahoe… didn’t expect that! And now it is over 90 degrees here in Sacramento.

So I would say that the past week or so I have been a bit uncomfortable.

Yes, will that will definitely affect your ability to relax, calm down, and be open to receiving.

Yes, I get that. So I mean, is there anything I should do about it? I mean, for the record, I do feel better about it now.

Then what is your question? Why does this matter any longer?

Well, I am just asking because it was uncomfortable. And I want to know if there’s anything I can do in this sort of time period.

Meditate. Get calm. Examine your thoughts. Reassure yourself that it will be over soon enough. Intend what you want. What is it you want?

I want to be calm, I want to be open. I want to be available to new insights, and new opportunities, and lots of fun and play and adventure 🙂

And so you shall have it! In fact, you already do have it, do you not? You are experiencing more and more of that. Yet here you are, worried. What is that about?

Haha. Great question. I don’t know. Monkey mind nonsense.

Well stop it! Stop monkey-ing it up! Just enjoy the ride! Then you can ride the wave and feel the current and keep up to speed with your expansion!

Yes! I like that. Thank you!
