Blogging has been great since picking it up again this month. There has been a shift in my focus. Rather than worrying about “how the blog is doing,” or something self-conscious like that, I have focused simply on what I want to write about. I am very much taking a personal journey. And it has been working! I have been enjoying my blogging this month.
Of course, my blog has always been about taking a personal journey. Nonetheless, it seems I have a new clarity and simplicity about blogging. Before, I was essentially of two minds: while I genuinely enjoyed my blog-writing overall, I would sometimes find myself ruminating about the blog’s “success” (or perceived lack thereof). This was mildly unpleasant, resembling a slight discomfort or self-consciousness.
Recently I heard Abraham say something about how creative artists are best served by focusing on creating what they want to create, and leaving others’ reactions out of the picture.
Apparently I was ready to embrace this.
I’m having a dandy time blogging!
