Let’s continue looking at the Vibrational Meal analogy to explore how the Law of Attraction works. One of the main points is that the “ingredients” you put into your “meal,” whether positive or not, will impact the final result. There is no way to get around the vibrational effects of your predominant emotion on any subject.
Abraham says, “There cannot be a happy outcome to an unhappy journey.” Said in other words, unless you enjoy yourself along the way, don’t expect to enjoy the final result! This goes against some popular notions such as “No pain, no gain” or “Grin and bear it.” It is quite common for people to claim that working hard is the way to success. Abraham teaches that alignment is the way to success.
Last time I used an example of a situation where I had unacknowleged negative expectations going in. I learned first-hand that you can’t get the favorable results of alignment, such as abundance and success, from misaligned vibrational ingredients.
In other words, if it doesn’t feel good… it won’t be.
Now let’s look at a situation where I put positive ingredients into the situation. We will see a different story. After getting through the experience with the coach, I immediately started to blossom. I started blogging daily (which I did for an entire year), created a bunch of episodes for a Youtube podcast I was trying out, played some shows, and even did some improv comedy.
My attitude throughout–the “ingredients,” you could say–was, “I am having a good time. I am exploring and expressing myself. I feel good, and I feel free.” On the Emotional Scale, that feels pretty high up: Freedom, Passion, Enthusiasm and Positive Expectation.
Naturally, other cool experiences made their way to me. I had been thinking about wanting to write a musical. I had even started a project on my own, but it hadn’t gotten off the ground. One day I got an email asking me if I wanted to write a score for a play at a high school I had done some musicals with. I had about six weeks to write the music, and I delivered. I led a student orchestra in playing for the performances. We were even on TV.*
My attitude during this project was, “I am enjoying myself. I love creating music. This feels like a dream come true. I am open and I am enthused. It is wonderful.” Again, this is a high vibration: Joy & Passion!
Around the time that show was going, I met a playwright who needed a songwriter for his musical. I ended up writing ten songs over a period of about two and a half months. Due to my enthusiasm, we did a read-through at the venue where we planned to stage the play. And though to date we haven’t staged the play–largely due to forces out of my control–I had a lot of fun and got further validation of my creative abilities.
My attitude during the writing of these songs and going through the read-through process: “This is amazing! I am having so much fun, and I am so great at this. Let’s do this!” Vibrationally, I was on cloud nine: full of enthusiasm and passion. Good things naturally came of that!
These experiences followed perfectly from these thoughts and expectations, you see? Expectations are powerful. It’s pretty simple when you look at things from a vibrational, or attitudinal, perspective. What you expect, you get.
What you put into your vibrational meal… you end up eating!
