What’s in Your Vibrational Meal?

Today an analogy struck me for how the Law of Attraction works. It goes like this: the Law of Attraction constantly delivers back to us what we “bake up” with our vibration. It is as if we cook up a vibrational meal, which we then eat.

Here are a few things to know about how this works:

  1. You choose the ingredients.
  2. The ingredients you use affect the final result. Don’t expect to produce something totally different than what you put in it.
  3. You are the one who eats your own cooking.

Let’s go over these one at a time:

  1. You choose the ingredients.

You “choose” the ingredients with your predominant thoughts and emotions. If you are feeling enthusiastic and appreciative, then you are putting that in your food. If you are resentful or morose, you are putting that in.

2. The ingredients you use affect the final result. Don’t expect to produce something totally different than what you put in it.

Like I wrote a little while ago, you can’t create lemonade from vinegar. The final result will inevitably resemble the ingredients you put in. If you put in love and appreciation, the final result will “taste” like that. Yum! On the other hand, if you put anger, fear, worry, or frustration, well, the result will feel a lot like that. You may not like the taste of what you get!

3. You are the one who eats your own cooking.

That’s right. You are your own vibrational chef, cooking for one and for no one else. You don’t prepare for others. They make their own meals! Even if the people around you tend to have creations that feel a lot like yours, that is still their doing, not yours.

A few further thoughts on this analogy:

  • We are too oblivious about what we put in our own cooking 🙁
  • The process of “choosing” the ingredients that go in to our dish happens automatically and constantly, so it is a good idea to be discerning!
  • Blame, resentment, self-judgment… these are not good ingredients!
  • Better ingredients: appreciation, enthusiasm, satisfaction. Even hope will work. Or contentment.
  • These principles, which are stated here so succinctly, may be the hardest principles for people to understand. I have been studying the Law of Attraction for years (and years), and I still feel like I’m sorting this stuff.
