Tonight I feel like appreciating some recent musical goings-on in my life:
- I am appreciating my Piano Improv class, which is exploring their creativity at the piano and learning new skills.
- I am appreciating talking about my compositions with my students, which is a great win-win– I share and talk about my music, and others gain inspiration on music and creativity.
- I am appreciating my piano book, which is coming along!
- I am appreciating my efforts at creating an online piano course on Udemy. Though it hasn’t progressed as easily as I might have hoped, it is going forward.
- I am appreciating the new piano composition I just wrote in the last three days.
- I am appreciating revisiting past performing. For instance, last night I found a log of my 2010 performances: I gave 276 piano shows in the Bay Area that year!
- I am appreciating the opportunities I see coming out of accepting my highly-sensitive nature and tailoring my music career activities to be compatible with it.
- I am appreciating a new composer-pianist friend I am having musical talks with.
Yes, yes, yes! Reading your appreciations, Chris, regarding your musical career opens me up to appreciating my own writing, honoring the paths I’ve taken and looking forward to more adventure.
