I love “Ask and It is Given,” by Esther and Jerry Hicks. I have one copy by the bed and one in my backpack for when I got to the cafe. I often refer to it for inspiration or clarity. I love looking at the emotional scale and seeing where my mood currently is on it.
I just flipped it open and found this quote:
If you have the ability to imagine it, or even to think about it, this Universe has the ability and the resources to deliver it fully unto you, for this Universe is like a well-stocked kitchen with every ingredient imaginable at your disposal. And within every particle of this Universe is that which is wanted and the lack of it. This perspective of abundance, and the lack of it, is the environment in which forces is possible–and focus activates the Law of Attraction.
Ask and It is Given, p81
This quote gets at what I love about Abraham’s philosophy. It is essentially the idea that “thoughts become things,” an idea I was introduced to long ago in “Conversations with God.” It was later reinforced when I saw “The Secret.”
Overall, the Abraham message directs us to focus on the emotional quality of our thoughts. The emotion is an indicator of where we are headed, whether somewhere wanted or unwanted.
I love being Inspired! That is where I’m headed.
Bring on the inspiration, baby…
