In life, sometimes you need a break. Sometimes you need to be able to let your hair down, put your sneakers on the floor, and sit by the duck pond enjoying the scenery. That, or losing yourself in some kind of easy, fun, and relaxing inspiration, something that doesn’t require a lot of work, something that doesn’t invite worry, fear, stress, or consternation.
Sometimes life just seems so serious, doesn’t it? So stressful, so heavy. Yet is it really all that heavy? When you start to feel that it is, that is usually a good time to take a break. That is a time to allow yourself to stop going, going, going for a little bit and just take in the breeze. Enjoy yourself. Eat a nice granola with yogurt.
You know, you don’t always have to be heroic, accomplished, successful, productive, outstanding, extraordinary, or worthy. It is okay to be playful, light-hearted, open-ended, and light and easy! It is okay to have no agenda besides the simple joy of being!
Yes, I like that thank you. I probably need this reminder. In fact, this is exactly what I am looking forward to doing as soon as I finish this blog post!
There is nothing wrong with leaving the heavy stuff alone. If it doesn’t feel good, what good does it do? If something doesn’t feel good, thinking about it will just make you tired, make you want to sleep, make you want to do something else. These tougher experiences are part of life, certainly, but not because you are supposed to tough it out, grin and bear it, or force yourself to deal with stressful things. Contrast is there to remind you: Ease up! Go light! Relax! We’ve got you covered!
I like that. So Source has us covered 🙂
Absolutely! There is only goodness in this world, joy and goodness and happiness and well-being… if you focus on that, if you believe that, if you let it in. It can be pleasant and uplifting and joyful!
I like that. Thanks for the reminder!
